Aloha & welcome!

The Hawaii Association of Teachers of Japanese has been revitalized for nearly four years now, thanks to the many teachers and students of Japanese who keep their strong enthusiasm towards teaching and seek professional development opportunities. Since the summer of 2005, we have organized four conferences and three workshops annually and the membership has gradually grown until now, where the association has now more than 100 teachers and graduate students. The association was originally established as a small group of teachers more than 20 years ago and we will never forget the founders' effort to build up the association. We hope that you will find our conferences and workshops a great oppurtunity to present your work, learn new teaching techniques and practices, and share your concerns or interest with other members.
