Have you ever lost your document somewhere? You cannot find your USB blash drive? You cannot tell which draft is most recent as you have too many drafts? You are not confident in your wrriting? Those troubles will go away by using Google docs. Your documents are stored online. Internet is a virtual hard drive. You can access your document from any computer now. And you can invite your colleagues to review your document. They can also add comments. The Google docs offer the equivalent of Word, Excel, PowerPoint. But how? Let's learn how to do this in the workshop and stop spending time on searching your document.

Very practical, useful workshop on making a PowerPoint. Let's learn how to make presentation slides. At first, you will follow step-by-step instructions to learn the basics. Then, you will make your short presentation. You will also learn how to put your narration into the slides.

1. This workshop is FREE for HATJ members, but in order to prepare sufficient handouts and refreshments, we need to have an idea of how many attendees to expect. Please RSVP by e-mail as soon as possible (deadline: October 30, 2009) to the following e-mail address: Saori Sato (saorisat (at) hawaii.edu).
2. Our new membership year is January 1 to December 31, 2010. If you have not yet paid your dues, please fill out a form and pay with a check payable to HATJ at the registration table.
3. For JLCLT membership application, please add $15 to the HATJ dues $15 (Total $30; Student $25). For details please see our homepage.
