2000 Scholarships for Doctoral Dissertation Research in Chinese Studies
Applicants must be doctoral candidates, in humanities or social sciences, with an approved dissertation prospectus. Enrollment in a university in the U.S. or Canada required. Scholarships are in the amounts of $10,000. They are awarded on the basis of scholarly merit, without discrimination by academic discipline, race or citizenship. Applicants must send a completed application form, curriculum vita, official transcript of graduate course work, reprints of publications (if any), and a project description in English and Chinese. Deadline for applications is June 30, 2000. Awards will be announced in October 2000. The Foundation may reduce the amount of award to successful candidates with major concurrent awards.
