The Graduate Institute of Translation and Interpretation Studies (GITIS) of Fu
Jen University invites applications for two part-time instructorships to begin
in August 2000. Applicants should
be native speakers of English and have had extensive professional experience in
doing translation work from Chinese into English. The area of specialization is open.
Salaries are competitive.
Scheduling is flexible.
Initial one-year contracts with possibility of renewal.

GITIS was established in 1988 as the first graduate institution in Taiwan to
offer professional training in translation and interpretation. Currently, we
offer training in both English-Chinese and Japanese-Chinese. GITIS has been
formally acknowledged and rated as a two-star professional institute by the
renowned International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC).
GITIS has programs leading to MA degrees in either translation or
interpretation.
