in Chinese language
Marietta College invites
applications for a tenure-track position in Chinese language.
Rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor, dependent upon credentials and
experience. Requirements: Ph.D. or
ABD; native or near-native competency in Standard Chinese (Mandarin); commitment
to teaching Chinese language to undergraduates at the elementary and
intermediate levels. Candidates
must also be able to teach in one or more of the following areas: Spanish,
French, German, Japanese, ESL, undergraduate linguistics courses, aspects of
Chinese culture (arts, political science, etc.).
Teaching load is four courses per semester, at least two of which will be
in Chinese language.
Marietta College is a small liberal arts college committed to
internationalization, including its China Program. Position to begin August 15,
