Position in Chinese language

Marietta College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Chinese language.  Rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor, dependent upon credentials and experience.  Requirements: Ph.D. or ABD; native or near-native competency in Standard Chinese (Mandarin); commitment to teaching Chinese language to undergraduates at the elementary and intermediate levels.  Candidates must also be able to teach in one or more of the following areas: Spanish, French, German, Japanese, ESL, undergraduate linguistics courses, aspects of Chinese culture (arts, political science, etc.).  Teaching load is four courses per semester, at least two of which will be in Chinese language.
