WordStream, a venture-funded, pre-IPO Internet company, is actively assembling a team of highly motivated, full-time Chinese language translators and linguists. Our vision is to establish our patented technology, ClearText, as the standard for cross-language communication, enabling the delivery of multilingual content on the Web. For the team, we seek experienced Chinese language linguists, especially those with a computational linguistics background, and we prefer linguist candidates with a Ph.D. or MA degree from a major university. We also seek Chinese language translators who are native speakers and who have worked for at least several years in the translation business.
Our team members must be able to work independently and meet deadlines, and must have high standards for accuracy and attention to detail. As an early-stage company, we seek employees who want to participate in the Internet industry, with its cutting-edge excitement and hard-driving work ethic.
Our world-class Technical Advisory Board -- Alec Marantz, chair of MIT's Department of Linguistics and Philosophy; Steven Pinker, professor of psychology in MIT's Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences; and Stuart Shieber, professor of computer sciences at Harvard University -- will help guide our language team and provide expert input on a regular basis.
