A national conference to disseminate the state-of-the-art in distance learning for LCTLs.

The conference will include:

Commissioned papers, available for preview in advance of the conference, on the national climate for LCTL instruction as well as issues such as what makes a high quality distance language course, cutting-edge developments in technology for language learning, learner assessment and program evaluation.
Presentations of distance learning language programs across the country
An opportunity for Title VI centers to initiate and coordinate the systematic development of distance learning of the less commonly taught languages.
