The Council on East Asian Studies at Yale University seeks an individual with administrative, financial, and Chinese-language skills to support China Program. Design and implement China-related programs, film series, career forums, public lecture series, and conferences. Prepare budgets and financial reports and assist with grant and proposal preparation. Develop and edit Council publications and web site. Assist in administering BA and MA programs, coordinate the China visiting scholars program and supervise staff. Position requires a bachelor's degree and at least four year's experience overseeing a comparable organizational unit or equivalent education/experience. The following are essential: 1) Facility with Chinese language; 2) Travel/work study in China, Taiwan, or Hong Kong; 3) Ability to write both short and long reports and proposals; 4) Computer knowledge (Internet, spreadsheet, word processing, etc.; 5) Familiarity with internet, spreadsheet software, word processing and database software.
