The College of Arts & Sciences at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio invites applications for an Instructor in Chinese. The teaching load is 3 courses of Chinese language at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced level in each semester. Duties include curriculum development, departmental service, mentoring and advising students, taking on independent study projects, coordinating independent study courses such as Medical Chinese, and supervision of student clubs. Credentials: M.A. (minimum), three years (min) of teaching experience at a research university, evidence of excellence and enthusiasm for language teaching; native or near-native language ability both in Chinese and English. This position is not on the tenure track.
