One-year Replacement Position in Chinese
The Department of Modern Languages at Union College seeks applicants for a one-year replacement position in Chinese at the level of Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning August, 2002. Qualifications are ABD or Ph.D. in Chinese or related field with native or near native proficiency in Chinese and excellent command of English. Previous college teaching experience at the first and second year level is highly desired. Responsibilities include teaching three courses in first or second year Chinese and three courses in the desired literary or cultural field of choice over three 10-week terms. Review of applications will begin 29 March. We expect to conduct the first round of interviews in early April at the Association for Asian Studies meeting in Washington.
