China Program
The Department of Asian Studies at the University of Texas at Austin is recruiting for a tenure-track position, rank open, in its China Program. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment. We are looking for a scholar focusing on Pre-modern Chinese Literature, Culture, or Thought. The candidate needs to have demonstrated teaching and research ability. The successful applicant will complement existing departmental strengths in Chinese history, political science, anthropology, and literature and culture of the modern period. Teaching duties will include a course on Traditional Chinese Culture and Thought, Introduction to Classical Chinese Language and other undergraduate and graduate courses related to the candidate's area of specialization.
