Chinese Language and Literature

Grinnell College invites applications for a tenure track position in Chinese Language and Literature at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank to begin in August, 2001. The position is open to candidates specializing in Chinese language and culture. Rank will depend upon level of experience. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship. Teaching duties will include Chinese language classes at all levels, as well as literature in Chinese and in translation and/or other courses in the candidate's area of specialization. The course load is 3 + 2. The successful candidate will engage in expanding opportunities to integrate Asian studies more fully into the curricular and co-curricular life of the campus.
