Modern Chinese Literature

The Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations, the University of Colorado, Boulder, will fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Modern Chinese Literature, to begin fall semester, 2003. In addition to their area of specialization, applicants should have a broad background in Chinese literature and familiarity with modern critical theory. Evidence of strong commitment to research and publication is required. Teaching duties may include undergraduate and graduate courses in modern Chinese literature, language courses, and general courses on China. The normal teaching load is two courses per semester. Candidates must show evidence of commitment to curriculum development, and to service to the department and university. Candidates must have completed their Ph.D. by the time of appointment. Salary is competitive.
