Chinese Language and Literature/Culture

Vassar College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Chinese Language and Literature/Culture beginning September 2003. Ph.D. and ongoing, productive scholarship in a relevant field; native or near-native fluency in Chinese and English; teaching experience and strong commitment to teaching Chinese language to undergraduates desired. Responsibilities include teaching four language courses and one literature or culture course in English each year, in a collegial and growing multi-disciplinary Asian Studies program. Experience/interest in leading students in a semester/summer program in China also desirable. Salary competitive.
