The Chinese Department at Wellesley College invites applications for a tenure-track beginning-level assistant professor position in Chinese Language and Pre-Modern Literature/Culture beginning Fall 2003. Ph.D in hand. Specialization in 11^th-18^th Century Chinese literature/culture preferred. Native/near native fluency in Mandarin and English required. Demonstrated success in teaching undergraduate Classical/Modern Chinese language courses and Classical Literature in English translation.
