ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN CHINESE LINGUISTICS

San Francisco State University invites applications for a Chinese tenure-track position at assistant professor level, effective Fall 2000. Ph.D. Chinese linguistics. Native or near-native fluency in Chinese and English required. Secondary field in translation, pedagogy involving new technology and media preferred. Candidate to teach language courses at all levels. Regular teaching assignment is four three-unit courses per semester on all levels. Other duties include supervision of language program, research, advising, curriculum development, and committee service. Application including letter, CV, writing samples, placement dossier, evidence of teaching excellence (student evaluations preferred), and three letters of reference must be received by November 1, 1999 or until filled.
