THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CHINESE PEDAGOGY

June 15-18, 2000, Wuhan, P. R. China

The Science and Technology University of Central China (STUCC) and Baruch College, CUNY, as well as a group of supporting universities, are jointly initiating a major international Chinese pedagogical conference in the beginning of June (tentative), Wuhan, P. R. China. STUCC is one of the most important Chinese research centers, and publisher of the prestigious journal Languages Research. Baruch is one of the finest business schools in the US, and lays great stress on language and cultural studies.

The general theme of this conference is Chinese pedagogy including a broad range of related topics and the main goals are to promote Chinese language education and to increase the communication channels among Chinese language teaching professionals. Chinese teachers from many parts of the world will attend the meeting. During and after the meeting there will be tour activities and the presented papers will be collected for publication.
