Chinese Language Lecturer
The Department of Asian Languages and the Language Center invite
applications for a full-time lecturer position in Chinese beginning September 1, 2000. The
position is renewable annually on the basis of programmatic need and performance. Duties:
Teach Modern Mandarin Chinese (100%). Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. (ABD acceptable) in
one of the following fields: language education, Chinese linguistics/literature. The
candidate must have native or near native proficiency in Chinese and English with several
years of teaching experience at different levels of instruction. Annual Salary: starting
from $36,000 for nine courses each year. Please send letter of application with a
