PRECEPTOR IN MINNAN DIALECT (TAIWANESE)

The Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University invites applications for a new full-time position in Minnan Dialect/Taiwanese language, culture and communication, beginning September2001. Applicants must have native or near-native command of the language as well as experience in teaching modern Chinese or Minnan Dialect as a second language at the college level. Experience in designing course curricula, and the use of computers in teaching language is desirable. Preference is given to applicants with an M.A. degree or higher in Chinese linguistics, foreign language education, or TESOL. The position is an annually renewable appointment for four years; thereafter it will subject to continued funding. Salary is determined according to a scale set internally by the university.
