To provide scholars with an opportunity to meet at the beautiful Lijiang (Yun'nan, China) to discuss research outcomes and teaching experiences on Conversational Chinese and Written Chinese, the Conference Organization Committee announces the 2002 International Conference on Chinese Pedagogy.

The Research Institute of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language at Beijing Language and Culture University and the College of Humanities at Hubei University jointly host the 2002 International Conference on Chinese Pedagogy. The Conference is sponsored by the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching and the State Office of Teaching Chinese as a Second/Foreign Language. Discussion topics include the teaching of

Conversational Chinese, Written Chinese, Chinese Scripts, and other related issues. The date and location of the Conference are as follows:

Dates: July 25-27 (plus July 23-24 Pre-Conference trip to Dali, Yun-nan)
