Academic Director (Beijing)
CET Academic Programs seeks an Academic Director to work at its Beijing campus during the next two academic years (August 2002-August 2004). The Academic Director works with CET’s resident directors in Beijing to administer CET’s Chinese language programs. The Academic Director’s principle task is to apply expertise in the areas of curriculum design, pedagogy, and teaching methodology to CET programs. The Academic Director works closely with Chinese language teachers and develops close partnerships
with the administrators of CET’s programs in Beijing. He/she may also teach one Chinese language class, depending on interest. Teacher training projects take the Academic Director to CET’s campuses in Harbin and Nanjing annually. Qualified applicants must have experience in administration, teacher training, language teaching methodology, and student counseling. Applicants must have PhD in Chinese literature or linguistics or extensive experience teaching at the collegiate level. The position is contracted for a two-year period.
