The Department of African and Asian Langs & Lits at the University of Florida is seeking applicants for a Chinese lecturer position to begin August 2002. Courses taught will be based on departmental needs, but will not exceed a 3/3 teaching load. Qualifications are native or near native fluency in Chinese and English, instructional training and experience in teaching Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Chinese. Main task will be teaching Modern Mandarin as a foreign language. Preference will be given to candidates with MA in Chinese or related fields. Salary is commensurate with experience and pending budget approval.
