Asian Studies Teaching Fellows

The East Asian Studies Program at Wittenberg University invites applications for two one-year non-renewable appointments as Wittenberg East Asian Studies Teaching Fellows for the 2002- 2003 academic year. This new initiative (funded by the Freeman Foundation) will bring to Wittenberg advanced graduate students (ABD or new Ph.D) preparing for a career in college teaching. Fellows will, under the guidance of a faculty mentor, teach one course each semester, contribute to East Asian Studies program activities and the institutional life of the college, and pursue their own research. Applicants must have area specialization in East Asia (China, Japan, Korea), field open; we particularly welcome applications from candidates in management/business, art history, education, and cultural studies. Successful candidates will be promising scholars with strong commitment to undergraduate education in a small liberal arts college context. Salary and benefits commensurate with entry level positions.
