ONE-YEAR POSITION IN CHINESE LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE
The Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures at the University of Notre Dame
invites
applications for a one-year visiting lecturer or assistant professor position in Chinese
language
and literature, beginning August 2000. Area of specialization is open. Teaching load is
two course
per semester consisting of Chinese language courses and undergraduate courses on Chinese
literature/culture in translation. Minimum qualifications: ABD, native or near-native
fluency in
Chinese and English. Preference given to candidates with some teaching experience. Salary
very
competitive. Candidate screening will begin February 1, 2000 and continue until position
is filled.
